A flat tire doesn't have to spell the end of your ride. The Park Tool VP-1 comes with everything needed to repair a punctured inner tube and get it ready for reinstallation and inflation. Together with the included vulcanizing fluid, the butyl patches create a molecular bond with the inner tube for a durable, permanent repair on any puncture. The application is simple: spread a thin layer of vulcanizing fluid over the area, let it dry, remove the patch backing, apply firm pressure (especially at the edges), and inspect the bond after a minute or two. Compatible with nearly all bicycle inner tubes, and small enough to tuck into a saddle bag or jersey pocket.

Features

  • Vulcanizing fluid creates a permanent molecular bond between patch and tube
  • Includes patches in three sizes for punctures of any size
  • Compatible with butyl rubber and latex inner tubes
  • Compact box fits easily in a saddle bag or jersey pocket
  • Not compatible with tubeless tire bodies or TPU tubes (e.g. Tubolito, Schwalbe® Aerothan®)
  • Note: vulcanizing fluid will dry out over time once the tube is punctured
