Resident Expert
Approximately 4-10hrs/week
Already have a day job, but looking for an excuse to come hang out at Pando? Through our Resident Expert program, now you can make it happen.
As a resident expert, you simply mingle with customers, help them find the perfect gear, share beta, and equip them with the knowledge they need for a successful outdoors experience.
Having seasoned outdoor experts who have knowledge and experience beyond a typical sales associate is part of what makes Pando a special place for the community. We're incredibly grateful that you'd consider making Pando your after hours hobby.
This might be perfect for you if —
- Prior Experience - Resident Expert isn't a title we give out lightly. You'll likely have extensive decade(s)-long outdoors experience. This could come in a variety of ways — maybe you've managed your own guide company, maybe you've worked in outdoor retail or manufacturing for the past 20 years, or maybe you've simply woken up at 4am religiously for the past several years to squeeze in some dawn patrol ski laps before work.
- Enthusiasm - Your enthusiasm for the outdoors is infectious. Customers walk away excited to get outside.
- High Emotional Intelligence - You're very aware of how customers are feeling, and can pivot and react accordingly. Even though you know your stuff, you never accidentally come off as "better than you" or intimidating. Beginners feel completely comfortable chatting with you.
