Mountain Professionals

Pando Refitters values the people who educate us and make it possible to safely enjoy the mountains. To show our appreciation, we offer a standing discount for qualifying professionals who meet the following eligibility guidelines. 

This program is currently only available in store. Proof of your eligibility is required, so be sure to bring this with you. For example, a physical certificate or a verified business card. 

Your status is good for one year from the time you qualify, but may be renewed thereafter.

Mountain Professionals

This category includes those who dedicate their lives and careers to educating, to managing the ever-present hazards of mountain environments, and to helping when things go wrong. This is the highest tier of our Program.

Benefits: 

  • 20% off most new retail items.
  • 10% more earnings when you consign gear (for example, earn 70% instead of 60%)
  • Additional incentives for participation in our monthly Pizza & Pros events and other Pando offerings.

Eligible Members belong to one or more of the following categories:

  • Search and Rescue
  • Wildland Firefighters
  • AMGA Certified Guides and Instructors
  • AMGA Apprentice and Assistant Guides
  • Ski Patrol
  • PSIA-AASI Instructors
  • Avalanche Forecasters
  • AIARE Instructors
  • NPS and USFS Rangers

Industry Employees

This category includes those involved in day-to-day operations at outdoor recreation-focused businesses and organizations, who keep our wilderness and wilderness-adjacent playgrounds open and accessible. 

Benefits: 

  • 10% off most new retail items.
  • 10% more earnings when you consign gear (for example, earn 70% instead of 60%)

Eligible Members belong to one or more of the following categories: 

  • Climbing Gym employees
  • Climb and Ski Shop employees
  • Ski Lift Operators
  • Ski Resort Grooming Technician
  • Ski Resort Guest Services employees
  • Outdoor Access Organization employees
  • State and National Park employees

Volunteers and Other Eligibility

Pando will occasionally offer discount coupons and other incentives to those who contribute their time and effort to bettering the community through select Access and Conservation projects. 

These may include volunteering in capacities such as the following —

  • Volunteering with Pando Conservation Club partner organizations
  • Volunteering with Adaptive Sports organizations
  • Assisting with SLCA Climbing Access projects
  • Assisting with Trail Maintenance projects
  • Assisting with River Cleanups

Please note that these incentives, when available, will be announced through the participating partner organization.
